Here’s a quick description of Forest Fringe from the printed program in case the words below are illegible:
Forest Fringe is a not-for-profit, artist-led organization that begain in 2007. Their yearly Ediburgh Festival venue has become renowned internationally as a space for experimentation, fostering the work of a diverse community of writers, theatremakers, musicians, dancers and live artists.
British Council Thailand presented Forest Fringe Asian premiere in Bangkok on February 7-9, 2013. It was a “micro-festival of live performance, video and installation” at The Scala Cinema in Siam Square.
“Performances include both highly acclaimed works that have toured the world and some completely new pieces. Extended beyond traditional theatrical performance, the audience is given the opportunity to see and enjoy a fascinating and subversive celebration of cinema, and live performance.”
This girl and the partly hidden guy were in the audience earlier while a British Embassy personnel was giving some opening remarks. They joined this star-earphone artist who I guess, was pantomiming.
Truth be told, I had no idea what was going on eighty percent of the time. Like Harry Potter said to Professor Dumbledore: “actually Professor, (after all these years) I just sort of go along with it.”
The girl on the left performed with two other artists. They pulled a long chain of rubber bands, and curled it around their bodies like an umbilical cord. They screamed occasionally in Thai.
Miss Full Moon Shadow spoke in English but it’s something that suggests reading Fifty Shades of Grey to know how close or reminiscent her vocabulary words are to the book.
looks like a FUN group
